IT IS REPORTED THAT DETECTIVES ARE SET TO SEARCH A REMOTE HILLSIDE FOR THE BODY OF THE MISSING TEENAGER AMY FITZPATRICK:
Amy’s aunt Christine Kenny received an anonymous phone call telling her where Amy’s body can be found. Amy who disappeared after leaving a friend’s house at 10pm on New Year’s Eve 2008 and was reported missing the following day. Christine reported that the instructions to where her niece is buried is very precise. Christine Kenny is Amy’s father, Christopher’s sister, (see photo: Christine with her brother, Amy's dad)
Seemingly the caller, who was crying frantically on the phone, told Christine that she had known for some time but needed now to come clean and tell all. The Irish police (the Gardai) and the Guardia Civil will both investigate this new turn of events. It is believed that the spot where the caller claims Amy is buried is not far from where she lived in Rivera del Sol, Calahonda. I remember once interviewing one of the chief investigators into this case when he told me that in most cases like this the body is found in a close proximity of where she disappeared.

Amy’s mum Audrey and her partner Dave Mahon are presently living on the Costa del Sol awaiting the trial in March, in Dublin, where Mahon faces charges of killing Amy’s brother in what he claims as self defence. Mahon stabbed the young Dean Fitzpatrick to death in Dublin 2013. It was reported last night the Audrey has been rushed to the Costa del Sol hospital where doctors say that she will need an urgent liver transplant.

  1. This has been such a heartbreaking story from the beginning. Lets hope, if it is her body, that poor Amy can finally be laid to rest and the perpetrators of this horrific crime can be caught so that and her family can now move on with their shattered lives.
