This will delight all of you who pretend you feel sympathy towards the Palestinians...

I agree with Hamas, says Mark Regev, Israel's Ambassador to the UK...

You would not normally expect the Israeli Ambassador to agree with a terrorist organisation guilty of murdering his people and committed to destroying his country. But it’s true, I do.

I agree with Hamas when its founder Mahmoud Al-Zahar admitted publicly that its strategy of labelling events in Gaza as ‘peaceful protests’ was a deliberate ‘deception’.

He is right, because there is nothing peaceful about knives, machetes, guns, pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails and improvised explosives: all of which the Palestinians used in their ‘peaceful protest’.

I agree with Hamas’ leader, Yahya Sinwar, when he says that the purpose of the ongoing violence is to breach the frontier and indiscriminately murder Israelis living in communities nearby. Mr Sinwar proclaimed, ‘We will tear down the border’ and ‘tear out their hearts’.

Video footage from last Monday shows a masked man who had just broken through the fence, carrying a machete while shouting: ‘O Jews, we’re coming to slaughter you!’ This was indeed Hamas’ goal.

I also agree with Mr Sinwar when he revealed that Hamas operatives ‘took off their military uniforms’ in order to pose as innocent civilians. Unfortunately, all too many politicians and commentators in this country were successfully taken in by Hamas’ mendacious charade.

Some have accused Israel of a ‘calculated and deliberate policy to kill and maim unarmed protestors’. But I agree with Hamas politburo member Salah Bardawil, when he acknowledged that 50 of the 62 killed on Monday belonged to Hamas, said Mr Regev.

Three others belonged to another terror group: Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Far from being ‘peaceful protestors’, over 85% of those killed were active members of terrorist organisations proscribed by Britain.

Israel sought to avoid any casualties on Monday. That is why our army put out broadcasts and dropped thousands of leaflets in Arabic warning people to stay away from the border.

That is also why Israeli forces used crowd control methods to disperse the 40,000 rioters, including tear gas and rubber bullets.

Last week, Hamas’ founder also restated the terror group’s longstanding position that Israel should be destroyed. Mr Al-Zahar told the BBC that Hamas rejects a Palestinian state alongside Israel, insisting upon everything: ‘East Jerusalem as West Jerusalem, Gaza like Tel Aviv’.

Here, I cannot agree with Hamas.

I cannot agree with Hamas when it writes in its charter that the Jews must be slaughtered and the Jewish state wiped off the map.

I cannot agree with Hamas breaking down the Gaza border, crossing into Israel and murdering my people.

If terrorists tried to storm into the United Kingdom to murder British citizens, you would expect British troops to protect you.

My countrymen expect nothing less.

OOOPS NOW WHAT? AFTER ALL THIS IS YOUR HEROES HAMAS TALKING...EMBARRASSING ?????
