Firstly let me wish you all a very peaceful and healthy Christmas.

Most of you will know, although an Irishman, I'm a big fan of the British Royal Family and how proud you must feel today listening to the Queen when she bravely and rightly made references to the atrocities that are happening in the hands of terrorists throughout the world by saying 'darkness has not overcome the light' as she looks back at year of ISIS atrocities and tells terror group they will never win.

But its the alternative Christmas message on Channel 4 that really struck a cored with me.

Have a look and listen.

Abdullah Kurdi - father of three-year-old Alan Kurdi, who died during a boat crossing from Turkey to Greece - pleads with the world to open their doors to Syrian refugees.

I can't ever hope to imagine what he's been through. That's something no human being should have to face, ever. My best wishes goes out to him and everyone else suffering.

Would you like to help
