A three month old girl identified by her grandfather as Chaya Zissel, was killed and several US citizens and Israelis were wounded Wednesday evening when a convicted Palestinian terrorist from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan rammed his vehicle into a crowd of people in the capital.
The attack, which was captured by a security camera, took place at the Ammunition Hill light-rail stop a few hundred meters from Israel’s national police headquarters, situated across a densely traveled thoroughfare, shortly after 6 p.m., a senior police official said.
The terrorist was shot by police and late Wednesday evening he died in hospital.
“The vehicle ran over a number of people, including several Americans, as they exited the train, and the suspect was shot when he attempted to flee the scene by foot,” the official said, requesting anonymity until the US State Department confirms the American casualties.
“Nine people were injured, three seriously, including an American infant who died after sustaining critical injuries,” he continued.
The official described the suspect as a convicted terrorist who served a recent prison sentence in Israel, but did not indicate whether he was released during the 2011 Gilad Schalit prisoner exchange or last year’s release of more than 70 convicted Palestinian terrorists during peace negotiations.
Yet those of you who again close your eyes and cover your ears refusing to recognise the terror carried out by Palestinians and are to cowardly to speak out against Hamas I'd like to ask you two questions, hoping when you answer to be true to yourselves at least.
First question....."Do you expect Israel to react or just turn a blind eye?"
Second question..... "If this was an Israeli who did this in Gaza wouldn't you be condemning him as some sort of savage? So are you to frightened to condemn this cowardly act?"
I'M SURE, AS USUAL, YOUR SILENCE WILL BE DEAFENING
BREAKING NEWS....
It gets even more disgusting as Hamas, Islamic Jihad salute Jerusalem terror attack, threaten new 'Palestinian intifada' in capital.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad led Wednesday’s terrorist act by an east Jerusalem resident who rammed his car into a crowd of commuters at a light rail station, killing a three-month old infant and injuring seven others.
“The attack in Jerusalem is an act of heroism and a natural response to the crimes of the occupation against our people and our holy places,” said Mushir al-Masri, a senior Hamas spokesperson.
“The attack in Jerusalem is a natural response to what is taking place in the city, given the harassment and overall attacks of Judaization affecting our holy places and Muslims,” said another Hamas official, Salah Baradwil.
Hamas warned that the latest developments may augur the next "Palestinian intifada in Jerusalem."
Islamic Jihad released an official statement on Thursday through its military wing, the Al-Quds Brigade, saying: “There is Zionist aggression against all of our people, and today the resistance responded to this attack. This is a natural right.”
“This attack is a strong response to the Israeli occupation, whose crimes are unable to break the resistance,” the organization said.
Both Hamas and Islamic Jihad called on the Palestinian Authority to “halt its security coordination with Israel and to act in resistance in the West Bank.”
The two groups also praised the residents of east Jerusalem “for their fierce stance against the crimes of the occupation.”
